Job description
Ensures all necessary daily administrative operations under her/his sale(s) manager(s) supervision to maintain, and develop the markets that have been attributed to him/her. Projects a professional company image through in-person, written and phone interaction.
The missions of sales assistant include:
1.1 Administration of orders
§ Orders: Control, register and follow up the orders both with the clients and the plant in a timely manner according to company procedures. From receipt of the order => shipment organisation => until receipt of the payment - including follow up of late payments.
§ Forecasts: ensure that forecasts are properly entered and maintained in dedicated software.
§ Quality: collect all relevant information related to claims, registers it and transmits it together with samples to the Quality Department. Draft answer to customer and send it to client after validation of sales manager - does appropriate actions to close each claim (return of goods, credit note, etc.).
1.2 Commercial
§ Assists the Manager to prospect customers, and follows up all operations with regards to customers and markets. § Launches and follows up with the Manager new developments in connection with the Technical Department of the factory concerned.
§ Collects and prepares all material necessary for prices offers to existing clients or prospects for sales manager’s approval.
§ Types mails, notes, reports concerning, when necessary:
- visits to customers,
- marketing actions,
- structure handling
- Internal Meetings
§ Have daily contacts with SGD agents' / distributors' network for all commercial operations and clients.
§ Maintain her workplace and the office in a state compliant with company standards.
§ Ensure back up of her colleagues during their leave. § Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows.
§ Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees. § Other duties as assigned.
Skills & experience
* Typical Education Level
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to internal and external contacts. - Computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft office/ Outlook)
