WG Meeting with China Centre for Promotion of SMEs (MIIT) on China’s SME Policy Plans Post Two Sessions

On 2nd April, the EU SME Centre and the European Chamber co-organised a webinar on China’s SME Policy Plans Post Two Sessions and 2021 SME Forum Chair Elections.

The first part of the meeting is the Chair elections. The second part is a presentation on China's SME policy landscape and future strategy by Ms. Xuanyi Song, Director of Policy Research Department, China Centre for Promotion of SME Development, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). In the context of the Two Sessions and 14th five-year-plan, the following topics have been discussed: SME-related information in the 2021 Government Work Report, upcoming preferential policies and measures for SMEs, and the so-called 321 working system. This year, the Chinese government will continue to support the development of SMEs (domestic or foreign) by implementing tax reduction policies, giving them easier access to financing, promoting innovation, fostering the protection of legal rights thus improving the overall business environment.
