      In 2012, the number of entry-exit passengers of Chengdu reached 2.05 million, exceeding 2 million for   the   first   time.   The   number   has   doubled   since   2010   and   kept   holding   on   to   the   first   place   in Midwest China. Benefiting from rapid development of tourism, MICE, business and the opening of new international airlines, the city held 300 exhibitions (1.5 exhibitions per day) in 2012, taking the lead in Midwest China.
