Chamber Launches Mothers’ Room: Caring for Mums and Babies Go back »

As a benefit to European Chamber staff and visitors, the Chamber’s Mothers’ Room was officially launched to offer a private area to support new mothers. The Mothers’ Room is the room adjacent to the Chamber’s Beijing office and offers dedicated facilities. If you would like to use this room, please contact the reception desk.

Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for newborn babies and infants. By launching the Mothers’ Room, the Chamber hopes to provide a safe and private environment for mothers, with a comfortable sofa and soft lighting to help create a relaxing atmosphere. Breast pump supplies are provided, as well as a refrigerator and milk-container products for storing breast milk. The Mother’s Room also offers a knowledge-sharing corner and educational materials  on breast feeding to help new mothers. By launching the Mothers’ Room, the Chamber hopes to raise breast feeding awareness in order to encourage and support our colleagues to breast feed.
