Below tips are from the theoretical principles of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) 

  1. Allow yourself to have bad feelings, and keep up daily activities where possible.
  2. Limit your exposure to news and social media.
  3. Regulate unhelpful emotions with ‘PLEASE’ tools (physical, eating, avoiding, sleep, exercise).
  4. Accept the situations you do not have control over.
