European Chamber meets Vice President of European Investment Bank

European Chamber meets Vice President of European Investment Bank On Thursday, 23rd March. A European Chamber delegation led by Shanghai Chapter Chairman Mick Adams met with Mr Jonathan Taylor, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) to talk about the operating conditions for European businesses invested in China.

Mr Taylor and his delegates from the EIB were in China this week to meet with Chinese government ministries such as the People's Bank of China, multilateral lending institutions such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the New Development Bank, as well as European businesses, in order to discuss the EIB’s lending operations in China, specifically with regards to green finance.

In this regard, Mr Taylor met with the Chairs of several European Chamber Working Groups and a host of our Advisory Council members.

During the EIB’s visit, Mr Adams presented Mr Taylor with several of the European Chamber’s publications, including the Position Paper 2016/2017 and the Chamber's recently published report on China Manufacturing 2025.
