The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to the "EU-China Green Development Dialogue II: Opportunities and Challenges in Building a Green Power System", jointly organised with the Centre for International Economic and Technology Cooperation (CIETC) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Friday 21th May at 15:00-17:30, European Chamber Beijing Office. Experts from government agencies and think tanks will share their insights and expertise on green energy policies and trends in China. Senior business leaders from European companies are also invited to share their best practice both in the EU and China.

Carbon Neutrality goal is a long and hard topic. Our members may be interested in knowing about the general and thorough picture on this political and economic objective. We would like to bring some government representatives, companies’ management and experts together to share the knowledge, experience and advice on Carbon Neutrality in Europe and China. The activities will be co-organized with CIETC (Centre for International Economic and Technological Cooperation ) of MIIT in a series of meetings on the topics of general policy and practice in EU and China, energy transition\ ETS\ carbon taxation, green transportation, green supply chain, and others.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is defined as a dynamic global network infrastructure with self-configuring capabilities based on standard and interoperable communication protocols where physical and virtual “things” have identities, physical attributes and virtual personalities, use intelligent interfaces and are seamlessly integrated into the information network. IoT has moved from being a futuristic vision to an increasing market reality both in China and Europe. In this context, the EUCTP II will contribute to a three day event dedicated to EU-China IoT cooperation in Beijing from 31 August until 02 September 2015. This activity will have the support of market stakeholders to sketch recommendations for a joint action plan. Following the first two conferences organized in October 2014 and April 2015 in Shanghai and Lyon, the exchanges will provide important input for the EU-China Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Informatisation Dialogue. Priority themes to be addressed will include IoT global opportunities as identified in the context of eHealth, smart cities, and industrial IoT applications under the topic Industry 4.0.
