European Chamber supports the 2011 priorities announced at the National Economic Conference Go back »

Beijing, 13th December 2010.  The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China would like to state its support for a number of the 2011 priorities announced at the National Economic Conference on 12th December 2010.

In particular, we welcome the statement that the strategy of continued opening-uhttp://www.europeanchamber.com.cn/administrator/index2.php?option=com_content&sectionid=4&task=edit&hidemainmenu=1&id=7777p and encouragement of foreign investment into China is recognised as an important priority in the ongoing development of the Chinese economy. Increased openness to inbound investment may also help create fair, reciprocal treatment for Chinese companies seeking to increase their presence in overseas markets. In addition to this, efforts to combat overcapacity in certain industries and the identification of the service sector as a priority for development are welcomed.

As always, the European Chamber would welcome any opportunity to assist in the implementation of meeting these goals and would also like to reiterate that we positively support the open consultation on the 5-Year Plan and that substantial input of behalf of European businesses operating in China will be submitted to NDRC this month.

北京， 2010年12月13日。中国欧盟商会对十二月十二日召开的中央经济工作会议上提出的2011年经济工作主要任务表示支持。

我们特别认同会上提出将坚持开放、鼓励外资作为中国经济发展的重要任务的观点。中国提高对境外投资的开放程度，有助于让正在努力开拓海外市场的中资企业得到相应的公平待遇。

此外，我们欢迎会议中提到的抑制特定产业中出现的产能过剩以及确定服务业为未来经济发展重点等要求。

中国欧盟商会将一如既往地支持协助达到上述目标的措施。我们积极支持“十二五”规划的公开意见征求，并会于十二月底代表在华欧洲企业向国务院发改委呈交相关建议。
