The European Chamber’s Research and Development Working Group was created in order to further develop the activities of the former Research and
Development Forum of the European Chamber as members felt the need to engage directly with Chinese authorities at both the central and local levels. It is composed of professionals directly involved in R&D operations in China from more than forty European multinational corporations (MNCs) which all have R&D centres and large-scale R&D operations in China, mostly located in the Beijing and Shanghai areas. Various sectors of the industry are represented in the working group including companies that enjoy global
leading positions in their sectors, such as automotive, chemicals and petrochemicals, aerospace, energy and pharmaceuticals.
