The Research and Development (R&D) Working Group aims to provide a platform to exchange information, experiences and best practices among member companies, along with promoting dialogue and transparency in Chinese R&D policy. The working group was created to continue the activities undertaken by the European Chamber’s former Research and Development Forum, as members felt the need to engage directly with Chinese authorities at both the central and local levels. The working group is composed of professionals directly involved in R&D operations in China, representing nearly 80 European multinational corporations. Various industry sectors are represented, such as automotive, chemicals and petrochemicals, information and communications technology, aerospace, energy, and pharmaceuticals.
