European Business in China - A Partnership for the Future

The European Chamber hosted a full-day conference at the EU Pavilion of EXPO on the 13th of September where high-level business leaders and political figures from both the EU and China's side met up to share views and opinions about the past 30-years cooperation as well as the future trends.

The speaker list included Jacques de Boisseson, European Chamber president, Serge Abou, EU's Ambassador to China, Yajun Liu, Director-General of Foreign Investment Department of MOFCOM, Dr. Chi Hong, Deputy Director-General of Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, David Jones, Amadeus Group CEO, Marc Roquette, Roquette Group Chairman, Joerg Wuttke, BASF Chief Representative of China, David Tang, Nokia Vice Chairman China, Olivier Coispeau, Partner of Roland Berger Asia, and Piter de Jong, European Chamber Shanghai Chairman.

The event touched upon the topic of China's new growth model from a Sino-EU business partnership perspective, generating new ideas and suggestions from both political and business circles.
