Code of Conduct, Compliance and Ethics

The European Chamber takes its compliance obligations very seriously. In the past, members holding elected positions in the European Chamber were required to sign a code of conduct.  Likewise, European Chamber staff are bound by similar commitments through the Chamber’s Employee Manual.

Using these foundational documents, European Chamber has updated its previous code of conduct taking into account recent trends and best practices in the field of compliance and business ethics. In particular, it has created a whistle-blowing mechanism and compliance committee that will be chaired by an external third party.

Any individual who has credible reason to believe that the integrity of the commitments outlined in this Code of Conduct, Compliance and Ethics has been infringed upon is requested to inform the president of the European Chamber’s Compliance Committee.
