On the 26th January 2011, the Chairs of the European Chamber’s Competition Sub-Working Group met with the Anti-Monopoly Legislative Affairs Division Director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) to present the Position Paper 2010/2011. The two parties discussed about China’s leniency rules, particularly the new SAIC rules on the prohibition of monopoly agreements. Further, the Division Director highly praised the European Chamber’s Competition Working Group for its offer to set a meeting in which the Working Groups members could share their experiences on monopoly agreements in other jurisdictions.
