The establishment of National Food Safety Standards Inspection and Evaluation Committee is announced in Beijing on 20th Jan 2010. It is composed of ten specific sub-working committees. Members of the Committee are 350 researchers / professors from academia and officials from relevant ministries such as Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Commerce. The mission of the committee is to evaluate the food safety national standards, put forward recommendations on the implementation of standards and provide general consultation on significant food safety national standards.
