About the company
LEH International School is for students aged between 10 and 18. Its parent school, Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, London was established in 1710 and consistently achieve outstanding academic results. Last year, 98% of the students achieved grades A*-B at A Level and 93% grades A*-A (levels 9‑7) at GCSE. Over 10% of the students attained a place at either Cambridge or Oxford University.
LEH International School Foshan will follow the footsteps of its parent school in providing a holistic British education to young people with a particular focus on their pastoral care. Job description
This is an exciting time for a highly motivated professional with excellent compliance control skills and rich experience of government relationship management to join the LEHF operation team. The post-holder will make a significant contribution to the future success of the School.
The Compliance Manager will ensure compliance on government regulations on overall school safety including but not limited to fire protection, food safety control and school bus operation. He/she will take the lead on engagement with relevant China government organisations to ensure that the School operates in accordance with the relevant regulations and a proactive and positive relationship with external authorities is maintained.
Key Job Responsibilities
· Monitoring food safety control according to government requirements and at agreed frequencies with follow-up reports;
· Supervising the smooth operation of the school bus service;
· Ensuring fire risk assessment with positive result;
· Overseeing the implementation and compliance with School safety and security procedures/policies;
· Early identification of regulatory risks;
· Liaising with the relevant government authorities on company issues;
· Maintaining a regular pattern of engagement with related government authorities;
· Ad hoc management of any issues arising related to government regulations;
· Taking ad hoc tasks assigned by Head Master or Director of Finance & Operations.
Skills & experience
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree or above;
· Capable of quickly interpreting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way;
· Experience of work environment safety/HSE management/food safety;
· Be mature, positive and have a good eye for detail;
· Act with integrity and professionalism to build relationships;
· Competent in English, fluent in Mandarin (essential) and Cantonese (preferable).
Preferred:
· Experience in a school, education environment or a multi-national company;
· Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office;
· Experience in implementing government regulations and/or government relations.
