Meeting with Department of Innovation and Development, MOST

Maggie briefly introduced the European Chamber in general to DDG Yu, briefed him on the exclusive dialogues with Chinese government authorities so far in Beijing and expressed the members’ willingness of getting involved in China’s innovation process and their interested issues. According to DDG Yu, the Department of Innovation & Development is drafting the recommendations on the 13th Five-Year Plan. He hoped to have more discussions with European businesses about the development trend of global economy, common concerns of European companies and their perspectives on the Trans -Pacific Partnership Agreement，TPP and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, TTIP as well as the issues of Ukraine and Greece in Europe. The meeting was concluded with a proposal of an event with MOST.
