Meeting with Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government

European Chamber Nanjing Chapter met with Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. Mr. Jin Shangjun and Ms. Sun Bei, the Director and Deputy Director of the Division of European and African Affairs at the department attended the meeting. On the meeting, the two parts mainly discussed about Jiangsu 2016 Provincial Government Dialogue and identified next actions of each part. Both the two parts agreed that the launch of a new round of cooperation on the dialogue will benefit the local government and the European Business in Jiangsu.

· Number of participants: around 150
· Governor from Jiangsu : Mr. Zhang Lei, Vice- governor of Jiangsu ( The attendance of the Jiangsu governor mainly depends on the diplomat from European who would attend )
· Local Government interested in topics: 1) the development of European business in Jiangsu; 2) European investment confidence index in Jiangsu; 3) policy recommendations from European companies;
· Question list: 1) select 2 to 3 main questions; 2) delete the critical details, which were suggested to be discussed during the buffet lunch;
· Other suggestions: 1) question-masters of each panel should control the atmosphere through the discussion
· Next actions: 1) the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government will send out official letter to concerned departments; 2) the European Chamber will work on inviting diplomat and engaging member companies;
· Media: 1) Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government will contact with Jiangsu international channel and find the opportunity to public the news as special report on TV
