The Paediatric Nutrition Desk submitted a lobby letter to the CFDA on the implementing date of the grace period for the exported infant formula and food for special medical (FSMP) purpose to get registered, during a seminar with CFDA on the relevant issue. The CFDA received a request for interpretation on the implementing date issue from the Shanghai FDA, and called for comments from the industry. The Desk proposed that the implementing date of the new registration should refer to the manufactured date of the exported infant formula and FSMP products. And concerning the infant FSMP products, the Desk advised to put off the grace period a year to 1st January, 2019, concerning the time required for the stability test for the registration.
