EU-China Renewable Energy Workshop

In the context of the EU-China Renewable Energy Workshop which took place in Beijing on 13 December, experts met to discuss the regulatory conditions to integrate renewables into the power market and the electricity grid and how the framework adopted in the EU could help China shaping up a functiong and competitive power market, moving away from coal. In addition, representatives of the Energy Working Group of the European Chamber provided an overview of the challenges faced by foreign companies active in the energy sector in China and proposed concrete solutions to the Chinese regulator to help solving part of the issues at stake.
