Meeting with Shenyang Municipal Government

Led by Mr. Mats Harborn, President of the European Chamber, board members and members of Shenyang Chapter, visited Shenyang Government and presented the Shenyang Position Paper 2017/2018 to Mr. Zhang Jinghui, vice Mayor of Shenyang Municipal Government. 

Mr. Mats Harborn, together with the delegation, introduced the main concerns of the members running business in Shenyang and gave constructive suggestions on the concerning points and suggested both sides to have closer cooperation in the future.

 Vice Mayor Zhang first appreciated the support from the European Chamber to Shenyang’s development  and expressed that the Shenyang Government would like to take the key recommendations and use positive measures to improve the local business environment and then presented the work and achievements of Shenyang Government, especially in terms of business environment. He then proposed to establish a long-term quarterly dialog mechanism with the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter to keep the Shenyang Chapter informed of the latest policy change, help European business solve operational issues and build the platform to receive suggestions from members of Shenyang Chapter.

President Harborn and the delegation acknowledged the impressive achievements of the Shenyang Municipal government on pushing forward with market-based reforms and looking forward to contributing on creating a better international business environment in Shenyang.
