EU-China City-Industry Roundtable Dialogue

The Chamber and the China Centre of Urban Development (CCUD) under the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) co-organised the EU-China City-Industry Roundtable Dialogue to facilitate the communication between the cities and European companies in China.

Ms Liu Yue, Director of International Cooperation Department of CCUD commenced this meeting by welcoming the local government officials from seven cities including Tianjin, Foshan, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huangshi, Changchun and Changbaishan and representatives from member companies of the Chamber. As she stated, city-to-industry cooperation is and will continue to play an important role in urbanisation, particularly the development of new zones and districts, which will also help the city to upgrade the industrial structure and resources. Afterwards, seven dialogues were conducted independently and moderated by the city government representatives. Member companies were actively engaged in the dialogues through direct communication with each government representative.
