Chamber Discusses Tianjin’s Local Economy with State Council Inspection Team in Tianjin

On 27^th August, Catherine Guo, general manager of the European Chamber’s Tianjin Chapter, and several member companies were invited to meet with Zhang Xueyuan from Tianjin’s State Council Inspection Team to discuss the city’s business environment.

Mr Zhang outlined how Tianjin’s economy declined in the past seven months and emphasised that the Chinese Government recognises the importance of the city’s foreign business environment.  Ms Guo acknowledged these issues and went into more detail, utilising the Chamber’s Business Confidence Survey 201. At the end of the meeting, Ms Guo when on to present 18 Months Since Davos to inspection officials.
