Chamber Hosts The First Tianjin Industry Observation - Automotive Industry

On 31 August, the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter hosted the first Tianjin Industry Observation- Automotive Industry in cooperation with the Tianjin Commission of Commerce (TJMOFCOM).The observation provided European business with an opportunity to know more about the status and development of Tianjin Automotive Industry and get updated on relevant industry policy as well as how international business can help improve business environment in Tianjin and nationwide. The whole day industry tour covered 1 Chinese Automotive Component manufacturing company, 3 Foreign Invested Automotive and Automotive Component manufacturing company and 1 Chinese Automotive manufacturing site which is under construction. A lunch meeting with panel discussion with TJMOFCOM, China(Tianjin)Pilot Free Trade Zone and GMs from automotive companies covered  covered a wide range of topics including business environment in Tianjin, industry policy, latest incentive policy issued by Tianjin local government , benefits of Tianjin Free Trade Zone, Automotive manufacturing site location and relocation,  etc.

25 European Chamber members participated in the industry observation including First Counsellor of EU delegation and  the Chamber EU SME working group. Mr. Zang Xuetian, Director of Foreign Investment Administration Department, TJMOFCOM and Mr. Ren Liang, Vice Director of Tianjin Airport Economic Area Investment Promotion Bureau,  China(Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone participated the industry tour.
