Meeting with Ambassador Akio Isomata and Japanese business leaders

On 13th January, European Chamber Shanghai Chairman Carlo D'Andrea led a presentation of the Chamber's Position Paper and Corporate Social Credit System report to the Japanese Ambassador and Consul-General Akio Isomata and Japanese business leaders.

Mr D'Andrea was joined by Shanghai board members Ms Holly Lei, Ms Clarissa Shen and Mr Marcus Wassmuth. The Japanese delegation included several representatives of the Shanghai Japanese Commerce and Industry Club: Mr Kazushi Takeda, chairman; Mr Yoshinori Ogawa, former chairman; Mr Koji Miyao, vice chaiman; Mr Hitoshi Nakamura, Secretary General; and Mr Ken Funabashi, vice president of the Japan External Trade Organization.

Following the presentation of the Chamber's publications, the Japanese delegation presented its proposals for improvement of the Shanghai business environment, which totaled 100 recommendations across ten sectors.
