Dialogue with Tianjin Vice Mayor Jin Xiangjun and Multiple Departments of Tianjin Municipal Government

On 24th March, the European Chamber hosted a webinar with Tianjin Vice Mayor Jin Xiangjun and  officials from departments of Tianjin Municipal Government to discuss the implementation of the policies related to work resumption and business development amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Mr Jin Xiangjun, vice mayor (VM), Tianjin, Mr Adam Dunnett, secretary general, the European Chamber gave the openning speeches.

During the discussion, officials of Tianjin’s Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Finance Bureau, Municipal Commission of Commerce and Tianjin Municipal Center for Disease Control shared the latest policies that support business resumption. The policy introduction was followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. 64 members joined the online discussion around topics such as how to minimise the impact of having to quarantine foreign executives or suppliers when travelling back to China, how to apply for resuming above 50 per cent capacity on company shettle buses, the upcoming measures and policies regarding epidemic control, discount interest fund application, health management code implementation. 

Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau shared the 5-year plan of introducing and cultivating high-tech enterprises,with which specific incentive and supporting measures. The 5-year plan starts from the year 2020.
