Lobby Letter to Tianjin Executive Vice Mayor Ma Shunqing on Foreign Representatives of EU SMEs and International School Teachers Returning to Tianjin

On 6th August, the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter submitted letter on behalf of Chair Cheung Yup Fan and Vice Chair Frank Schreiber to Ma Shunqing, Executive Vice Mayor of Tianjin on visa applications for foreign teachers and representatives of SMEs. 

In the letter sent to Executive Vice Mayor Ma, the Chamber mentioned the concerns of the visa application for foreign teachers and representatives of SMEs who wants to come to Tianjin. The letter also included the following recommendations:

1.      Organize a physical meeting with Tianjin EU companies for a better understanding of current PU letter application process and policies.

2.      Highlight and provide policy support to ensure the return of employees of SMEs and their family members, as well as those of larger companies.

2.      Establish a mechanism to allow teachers from international schools to return in time for the beginning of the new academic year.
