Conference with Shenzhen Mayor on 'Jointly Meeting Challenges and Seeking Innovative Development'

On Sept 9th, Shenzhen Mayor Chen Rugui and various leaders of Shenzhen Municipal Government held a Conference on 'Jointly Meeting Challenges and Seeking Innovative Development' with 100 representatives from foreign chambers and foreign businesses.

As Shenzhen Special Economic Zone celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, Mayor Chen and Shenzhen Municipal Government highly recognize the contribution of foreign businesses during different stages of Shenzhen's economic development. Facing new challenges and new opportunities this year, Shenzhen government is eager to seek suggestions and feedbacks from foreign business community.

European Chamber Vice President and South China Board Chairman George Lau presented the key recommendations from 2019/2020 South China Position Paper, and suggests further cooperation in vocational education, IPR protection, digital economy, low carbon, smart city, and new infrastructure.
