Meeting with Beijing Municipal Government on Digital Trade and the Opening of the Beijing Free Trade Area

The European Chamber ICT representatives met with officials from the Beijing Municipal Government to discuss the European industry asks on Digital Trade at the Beijing Free Trade Area.
In the meeting, the Beijing Municipal Government focused on presenting an innovative idea of EU-China cooperation in digital trade. The European Chamber representatives gave our inputs revolving the industry needs in digital trade, especifically focusing on the opening-up of value-added telecom services (VATS) in free trade zones and the need for more enhanced and comprehensive cross-border data transfer framework.
