European Chamber and EU SME Centre representatives join the 11th EU-China SME Policy Dialogue

On 28th October, the 11th EU-China SME Policy Dialogue took place. From the EU side, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Director-General Hubert Gambs, and from the Chinese side the counterpart was MIIT Vice-Minister Wang Jiangping.

The meeting covered a variety of topics, policies and best practices related to supporting SME growth in the EU and in China. These included, among others, general overviews of the latest SME policies, as well as updates on measures to support access to financing for small businesses and also regulations to prevent late payments.

European Chamber Brussels Representative Davide Cucino represented the EU SME Centre in the meeting, introducing the new phase and providing an overview of the key issues experienced by European SMEs in China as outlined in the 2020/2021 Inter-Chamber SME Working Group Position Paper.
