China- Europe Energy Innovation Technology Cooperation

European Chamber and the China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute co-organised the first China-Europe Energy Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum in Beijing. It was supported by the National Energy Administration of China. Around 300 attendees joined the on-site meeting. Participants included the NEA vice administrator WANG Shanqing, other officials of NEA, European Chamber president Joerg Wuttke, EU Delegation Energy Counsellor Octavian Stamate, representatives from local government agencies, Chinese and European energy and power enterprises, industry associations, research institutions, financial institutions, the embassies of EU member states in China, chambers of commerce and technological innovation organisations. The speakers from 24 entities made the presentation on energy transition and recovery fuelled by EU-China energy cooperation, the companies' engineering practice and cooperation intentions, and the supporting networking for EU-China energy cooperation. The aim of the Forum is to provide a platform for Chinese and European enterprises to build technical cooperation, match projects, and lay a foundation for joint demonstration projects and promoting commercialisation of advanced technology both in China and the EU.
