European Chamber President Meets Guangdong Department of Commerce Director

On 28 April 2021, The European Chamber President, Joerg Wuttke, lead a delegation from the European Chamber to meet Director Zhang Jinsong and other officials from the Guangdong Department of Commerce. It was here the President raised the topic of the highly anticipated CAI and how Guangdong and Europe can move forward with economic cooperation whether the agreement is signed or not. Also discussed were the issues of event cooperation between the Department and the European Chamber, decarbonisation, and, most importantly, the cancellation of preferential policies for the national Individual Income Tax. The meeting concluded with promises of continued communication and cooperation.
