South China Lobby Letter Sent to Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau Concerning Renewed Power Shortages

On Thursday, 23 September 2021, the South China Chapter sent a letter to the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau drawing attention to the significant impact on operations local member companies face due to forced power shortages across Guangdong. These renewed power shortages have caused some European Chamber members to involuntarily shut down production multiple times a week, some even being forced to halt operations for six to nine consecutive days. The intent of this letter was to appeal for an immediate ending of this ordinance and request a meeting with the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau.
