Chair Kumpfert said that, in order to attract more foreign investment to Heilongjiang, it is important to ensure an equal market access, transparent and predictable business environment for foreign and local enterprises in all sectors. Furthermore, it is essential to retain a rich pool of young talents for various sectors. In addition, building a low or zero-carbon investment environment is also essential to European companies as the latter attached great importance to environment protection.

In the end, Chair Kumpfert said that according to the data revealed in the European Chamber's most recent Business Confidence Survey, the pandemic didn't cause major impact on the European investment in the China market, which demonstrates the European companies' strong confidence in the market. The European Chamber and its members look forward to more cooperation and exchanges with the Heilongjiang Government.

European Chamber members also attended the meeting. Sven Rau, Senior Vice President of IKEA, spoke in the discussion session, bringing forward the operational issue confronted by IKEA in the region.
