European Chamber Shenyang Chapter Visited Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce

On 9 June 2022, the German Consulate General in Shenyang, the European Chamber of Commerce in China Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as European Chamber Shenyang Chapter) and the German Chamber of Commerce were invited to visit Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as Department of Commerce).

During the visit, Mr. Harald Kumpfert, Vice Chair of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter, had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Song Yanlin and Ms. Pan Shuang, Director and Deputy Director of Department of Commerce respectively on some long-concerned issues to European companies based in Shenyang, such as quarantine period, energy supply, green energy and sustainability etc.

The government officials stated that a regular communication channel between European Chamber and Department of Commerce would be established to effectively collect, feedback and follow up the actual demands of European enterprises in Shenyang. As for the issue of quarantine period, the officials will take the lead and organise relevant departments to conduct research to avoid unnecessary duplication of quarantine. On behalf of the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter, Mr. Harald Kumpfert also expressed his gratitude to local governments for their active attitude in solving the problems of European companies in Shenyang.
