CCPIT Symposium on Foreign-Invested Enterprises (Chengdu)

On 30th June, 2022, China Counsil for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held a symposium on Foreign-Invested Enterprises in Chengdu. Chairman Ren Hongbin presided the meeting. Massimo Bagnasco, vice president of the European Chamber and chair of the Southwest China Chapter attended the meeting. 

CCPIT, as instructed by Premier Li Keqiang, will serve as contact point for the foreign companies to raise their appeals and concerns. bring the matters to relevant offices and sharing with State Council. On behalf of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Massimo Bagnasco, vice president of the European Chamber and chair of the Southwest China Chapter attended the meeting and expressed several points for the improvements:

  1. Direct flights to Europe.
  2. Talents retainment and attraction (both foreigners and Chinese).
  3. Expats exodus and their fundamental role for China's soft power.
  4. Working visa extension period.
  5. Chengdu - Chongqing economic circle development. Contribution by members of European Chamber.
