Online Meeting with the CPPCC Shanghai Committee

On 30th August 2022, Dr Ioana Kraft, General Manager of the European Chamber Shanghai Office, joined an online meeting with representatives of foreign chambers of commerce and foreign-invested enterprises hosted by CPPCC Shanghai Committee.

The online meeting was chaired by Mr Li Yiping, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, and was opened by Mr Dong Yunhu, Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee. In the meeting, Dr Ioana Kraft presented the current challenges faced by European companies post lockdown, including lack of access to support for SMEs, continued mass testing and localised lockdown pressure, inconsistent implementation of 7+3 quarantine, lack of effective and comprehensive vaccination, and foreign employee exodus. Dr Kraft also presented findings from the 2022 Business Confidence Survey.

Other attendees of the online meeting include senior officials from Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, Shanghai Customs, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatisation, and Shanghai International Port.
