Meeting of the German-Chinese Working Group "Medical Devices and Healthcare Industry”

The German-Chinese Working Group "Medical Devices and Healthcare Industry” holds its 5th meeting at the medical device trade fair Medica in Düsseldorf. The Healthcare Equipment (HCE) Working Group hold a presentation on recent developments of the Chinese medical device market.

The working group consists of the German subsidiary of the China International Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) and eight German trade and investment promotion agencies and healthcare industry clusters. Its tasks is to support is companies in the healthcare industry to find cooperation partners and explore the markets of both countries.

Presentation at the event consisted of three parts:

New trends in the healthcare industry, new chances for medical device manufacturers.

Report of the working group’s acitivities in 2022 and planning for 2023.

Industry reports, examples of succesful bilateral cooperation projects.

The HCE Working Group analysed trends in the medical device market and the business environment in China. It promoted its activities to smoothen the version update of mandatory medical device standards in China.
