Beijing People’s Congress Roundtable Discussion on Beijing Foreign Investment Regulations

On 2^nd March, representatives of European Chamber and its member companies were invited to attend a seminar hosted by Beijing People’s Congress and Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau on European enterprises’ opinions and suggestions towards Beijing Foreign Investment Regulations. Beijing's foreign investment regulations is going to complete legislative proof of project in May and first regulatory approval in November this year. Issues raised by representatives included IPR protection, data and cybersecurity regime, branches establishment barriers and others. The Beijing People’s Congress thanked the counterparts for their contributions and recommendations and agreed to update the legislative progress with all stakeholders.
