On 20th March, the Pediatric Nutrition Sub-working Group submitted comments to CFSA on National Food Safety Standard - Canned Complementary Foods for Infants and Young Children (Draft for Comments).
Key recommendations include setting a 21-month transition period to provide companies with enough time to complete formula and label adjustments, minimizing the waste of packaging and other raw materials, and confirming the ingredients could be added into cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children.
