Meeting with Ms. Wang Jue, Deputy Director General of Chongqing Commission of Commerce

On 18th April 2023, European Chamber Southwest China Chapter General Manager Sally Huang led Chongqing team to have VIP meeting with Chongqing Commission of Commerce Deputy Director Ms. Wang Jue and key discussion points as below:
From Counterparts’ side:
Feedback of the previous meeting with Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Yuan Jiajun. The meeting had a great success and Secretary Yuan had a deep discussion with the member delegation of European Chamber and solved some problems that mentioned in the meeting.
Introduction of Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade, and discussed the representatives from European Chamber who can be invited to have a panel discussion on the fair. The 2023 Fair will be the largest fair ever and it will have more sessions to help companies to branding themselves.
From the Chamber’s side:
1) Appreciated for organising the previous meeting with Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Yuan Jiajun. The meeting had a great success and the member delegation feel it effective and worthing to have such a discussion with Secretary Yuan.
2) Exchanged the idea about the delegation of the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade.
3) Voiced out the problems that member companies faced. The first one is the cancellation of the IIT for foreign individual allowance might cause the cost increased 70% than before for hiring foreigners. The second one is the problem of re-investment from profit cannot be account into FDI. The last one is that detailed information or policies about “Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle” are wanted for member companies to better understand the investment environment under the circle.
