Meeting with Governor Wang Weizhong of Guangdong Province

On 11th May, Fabian Blake, vice chair of the European Chamber South China Chapter, and Arne Weber, a member representative, attended a roundtable meeting with Wang Weizhong, governor of Guangdong Province.
Mr Blake expressed his gratitude to the Guangdong Provincial Government for their support of European Chamber member companies over the previous year. He also conveyed the Chamber's concerns regarding the latest updates to the Greater Bay Area Preferential Individual Income Tax Policy, government support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the decarbonisation roadmap for multinational companies and SMEs. Mr Weber emphasised the importance of further investment and development in Guangdong.
Governor Wang expressed his appreciation to the South China Chapter of the European Chamber for its longstanding participation in Guangdong's reform and development. He expressed his hope that enterprises would optimise their industrial layout in Guangdong, increase capital investment and expand production. Furthermore, he said Guangdong Province will spare no effort in providing logistics support and high-quality services for the development.
