Meeting with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Provincial Committee

On 25th May, a delegation of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Provincial Committee paid a visit to the European Chamber Beijing Office to build connection and discuss potential cooperation opportunity in the future. The meeting commenced with introductions and a warm welcome extended by the European Chamber secretary general and then each advisory council member company briefed their enterprise's background as well as general picture of their business operation in Zhejiang. 

During the discussions, the newly-elected Chairman of Zhejiang CCPIT, Mr. Chen Jianzhong, expressed his interest in strengthening economic and trade relations between Zhejiang Province and European businesses. He highlighted the remarkable growth of Zhejiang's economy and the province's commitment to international trade and investment. Chairman Chen Jianzhong emphasised the importance of collaboration and exchange of ideas to foster mutual benefits for both Zhejiang Province and European enterprises.

The European Chamber representatives appreciated Chairman Chen Jianzhong's visit and expressed willingness to explore potential areas of cooperation. The Chamber acknowledged Zhejiang Province's strategic significance in China's economic landscape and recognised the opportunities it offers for European businesses. The representatives also shared insights on the European Chamber's activities. 

Both parties recognised the need for increased information sharing, business matchmaking, and policy advocacy to facilitate bilateral trade and investment.
