Spoke at the 2023 Industry Green Development Conference.

On 1st June, the European Chamber South China Board Vice Chair Mr Fabian Blake gave a speech at the 2023 Industry Green Development Conference.
During the conference, Song Xiaoming, deputy director of Institute of Energy, Resources and Environment, Centre for International Economic and Technological Cooperation, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) shared the goal of implementing the 14th Five Year Plan for Green Industrial Development and emphasised the importance of establishing international partnerships for green manufacturing. She also highlighted the significance of promoting cooperation between domestic and foreign low-carbon projects in the industrial sector to solidly promote industrial digitization and green transformation.
Mr Blake recommended comprehensive decarbonization strategies and international collaboration to drive energy efficiency innovation, emphasising the importance of harmonizing the recognition of energy-efficient solutions through enhanced communication channels to accelerate their development. He also advocated for a level playing field in the renewable energy sector, promoting fair opportunities and diversification of ownership to create a more equitable and vibrant landscape to make the Chinese Business Environment even more attractive to foreign investors.
