Spoke at the New Energy Vehicle Export Event

On 31st May, the European Chamber South China Board Chair Mr Klaus Zenkel gave a speech on the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Export and the 2nd "GDCar-Global" Event.
During the event, Ms Zhang Yan, deputy director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Committee (CCPIT) shared that the goal of the conference is to promote economic and trade cooperation and exchange with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, accelerating the export of new energy vehicles in order to boost confidence in the export-oriented automotive industry and stimulate the consumer market.
Mr Zenkel briefly introduced the Chamber’s European Business in China Position Paper and Business Confidence Survey, which help to build a level playing field, and a better and sustainable environment for the European companies in China. Furthermore, he underscored the significance of pursuing high-quality development and identified the NEV industry as a crucial catalyst for driving economic growth. Additionally, he conveyed the significance of ensuring equitable access to government support and the need for robust enforcement of intellectual property rights.
