Meeting with International Air Transport Association (IATA)

On Thursday 8th June 2023, the Aviation and Aerospace Working Group Coordinator met with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on international flight resumption and sustainable development of aviation industry. The IATA introduced their main working focuses on international timeslot coordination, aviation industrial energy transition, plastic management, noise control, and air polution control. The IATA summarised a meeting held on 16 May during which the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) briefed on China‘s Slot Policy and Management Reform. The Aviation and Aerospace Working Group introduced the main concerns reflected on the Key Recommendations in the Position Paper, regarding international flight resumption, market access, green aviation and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and air traffic management.
