Working Group Meeting on Green Hydrogen Developments in the EU and China

On 7th June, the Energy Working Group invited representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to China, China Hydrogen Alliance, Snam Group and Agora Energy Transition China to share European and Chinese green hydrogen industry developments and policy updates, as well as potential for EU-China cooperation in the field, at the European Chamber Beijing office and online.

Questions discussed included the definition of green hydrogen, approaches to certification/standards of green hydrogen in the EU and China and their alignment, the role that EU businesses can play to help China decarbonize its existing hydrogen industry, as well as recommendations for policymakers and industry players to cooperate on the development of renewable hydrogen.
