EU SME Centre spoke at the 17th EU-China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair in Chengdu

On 30th June, Liam Jia, Team Leader of the EU SME Centre, addressed at the 17th EU-China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair in Chengdu, presenting the work and achievements of EU SME Centre’s Advocacy Platform for EU SMEs in China.

Liam Jia first introduced how the EU SME Centre supports innovative SMEs to explore the Chinese market, and then provided suggestions on attracting more EU SMEs or companies, in general, to come invest in and export to China. “European companies and SMEs, in particular, need to feel safe and be safe. It is only then that they will prosper and contribute with their full potential to our mutual understanding and enrichment in every sense”, said Liam Jia at the speech.

From 30th June to 2nd July, 2023, co-hosted by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and the China Chamber of International Commerce, the 17th EU-China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair took place in China-European Centre in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Themed "Challenge, Opportunity, Integration, Development," the fair provided a comprehensive platform for discussions on promoting in-depth cooperation in trade and investment between China and the EU. Via online and offline events, over 600 guests, including officials, experts, and entrepreneurs from China and Europe, conducted exchanges and sought cooperation, focusing on topics such as carbon neutrality, new energy, digital economy, vocational education and green and sustainable development.
