South China Chapter Advocacy Letter Sent to the Guangdong Department of Commerce concerning the Implementation of the Preferential Individual Income Tax Policy for the Greater Bay Area

On 28^th June, the South China Chapter sent an advocacy letter to the Guangdong Department of Commerce on the Preferential Individual Income Tax (IIT) Policy for the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The advocacy letter expressed the members’ concerns regarding the changes in talent recognition criteria, unclear subsidy application processes and the policy deadline. It is recommended that the government should establish a consultation process prior to policy formulation and publish the new detailed talent recognition rules and guidelines for reference.
