European Chamber Joined a CCPIT Roundtable with Foreign Chambers and Foreign-invested Enterprises, Led by Chair Ren Hongbin

On 24th August, the European Chamber joined a China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Roundtable with Foreign Chambers and Foreign-invested Enterprises (FIEs), chaired by Chair Ren Hongbin. On behalf of the Chamber, Secretary General Adam Dunnett welcomed the State Council’s newly released 24 measures and raised members’ concerns, including access to information, equal treatment in government procurement, cross border data transfer management, the extension of preferential tax policies and inspections of FIEs. He also expressed the Chamber’s hopes that further concrete measures will be taken to implement the 24 measures.

Chair Ren Hongbin noted that China is promoting high-quality development and opening up to the outside world, which will provide broader market opportunities for FIEs. He said that the CCPIT will give better play to the role of the foreign investment task force, further expand the channels for communication with FIES, promote the resolution of the reasonable demands of FIEs, and help them to develop in China in a long-term and stable manner.
