Shanghai Chapter met with WTO Department Director Ismaila Dieng

On 8th November, the European Chamber received Mr Ismaila Dieng, Director of Information and External Relations Division of the World Trade Orgnisation (WTO) and conducted a meaningful discussion. Topics included the challenges faced by global multilateral trading system, and the market access barriers and business environment challenges European companies have in China.

Mr Carlo D’Andrea, Chairman of Shanghai Chapter, presented the findings from the European Chamber’s latest Position Paper and Business Confidence Survey. Director Dieng also introduced WTO’s ongoing reforms. 

The European Chamber looks forward to working together with the WTO.
